The Office of Public Procurement Policy (OPPP), within this Ministry, will be hosting its annual Public Procurement Training Series in July and September 2026.
The training series will be delivered by county(Cornwall, Middlesex, and Surrey). Participants are expected to attend the session scheduled for their respective county ONLY.
This series is geared towards senior public Procurement practitioners. These practitioners are procurement leaders in the entity with managerial, supervisory or oversight authority for the procurement function. The sessions will be conducted over two (2) days as follows:
- Surrey: July 14–15, 2026
- Middlesex: July 30–31, 2026
- Cornwall: September 24–25, 2026
Topics to be covered include:
i) Bid Evaluation and Contract Award Criteria Design
ii) Bid Document Preparation and Specification Development (RFP, TOR, etc.)
iii) Contract Management and Variations
iv) Procurement Risk and Governance
Registration closes: June 30, 2026
Each submission should include the nominee’s full name, job title, email address, contact number and the county in which your nominee will be attending the training and send via e-mail to opppcustomercare@mof.gov.jm and copy antonette.sinclair@mof.gov.jm
Important: Space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close once the quota for each county has been reached.
