Public Procurement Training Series 2026

The Office of Public Procurement Policy (OPPP), within this Ministry, will be hosting its annual Public Procurement Training Series in July and September 2026.
The training series will be delivered by county(Cornwall, Middlesex, and Surrey).
This series is geared towards senior public Procurement practitioners. These practitioners are procurement leaders in the entity with managerial, supervisory or oversight authority for the procurement function. The sessions will be conducted over two (2) days as follows:
- Surrey: July 14–15, 2026 – Registration closed
- Middlesex: July 23 -24, 2026 (Still Open and will remain open until cohort is full)
- Cornwall: September 24–25, 2026 (Still Open and will remain open until cohort is full)
Participants originally intending to attend the Surrey session may register for either the Middlesex or Cornwall sessions (subject to availability) by submitting an email to Antonette.Sinclair@mof.gov.jm, copied to opppcustomercare@mof.gov.jm.
All registration requests must include the following information:
- First and Last Name
- Email Address
- Contact Number
- Job Title
- County for which you are registering for
- Name of Procuring Entity
Topics to be covered include:
i) Bid Evaluation and Contract Award Criteria Design
ii) Bid Document Preparation and Specification Development (RFP, TOR, etc.)
iii) Contract Management and Variations
iv) Procurement Risk and Governance
Important: Space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close once the quota for each county has been reached.
